Known as the Crossroads of Southeast Iowa, Mount Pleasant is a vibrant community located in the heart of Henry County. Our district proudly serves a diverse population of approximately 1,700 students in grades PreK–12. MPCSD offers a comprehensive academic program that includes a variety of college credit and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, ensuring that every student is challenged and supported on their path to success. Our students consistently perform above the state average on college entrance exams, including the ACT, reflecting the dedication of both our students and staff.

At MPCSD, our greatest strength lies in the partnership between our schools, families, and community. Together, we work to create an environment where students are empowered to learn, grow, and lead. Each day, our exceptional teachers and staff bring our mission to life — to empower students to achieve without limits — by providing high-quality instruction, meaningful opportunities, and genuine care for every learner.

Mount Pleasant Community School District is a welcoming, student-centered district where children receive not only an excellent education but also the encouragement to become lifelong learners and compassionate citizens. It is truly a privilege to serve this community and to play a part in shaping the future of our students.
